Miguel Torres

Miguel Torres has over 9 years of business experience, as well as, over 15 years of video production experience. He holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Radio, Television & Film, from California State University, Northridge, with his emphasis in Film Production. His expertise is as a Camera Operator, Editor, and Producer, as well as a Public Relations figure.  He has produced nationally recognized work and serves on the Roosevelt High School Alumni Foundation Advisory Board of Directors and is a founding boardmember for the Dionicio Morales Foundation. In 2008, he launched  Angel Flight Media, a multi-media video production company.

He was an Associate Producer on the children’s television show, “Solo Para Niños” which aired on KVEA - Channel 52 Telemundo and Production Assistant on “Acción 22” for KWHY – Channel 22.

His credits include Co-Producer of the “Imagen” Award, “Chicano/a Latino Film Festival” and “Latino Spirit Award” winning documentary, “Symbol of Heart”, served as an Associate Producer on “In Search of Aztlan”, featuring Culture Clash and Lupe Ontiveros and Associate Producer and In Charge of Field Production for the nationally televised show, “College Baseball Weekly” for Fox College Sports. He is currently Producing a documentary trailer for the Gabrielino/Tongva Indian Nation and doing Camera Operator work for www.saberhacer.com, owned and operated by former news anchor, Michelle Ruiz. He is doing freelance work and editing for www.radaronline.com and freelance editing for CNN Español. Currently, he’s producing the 2010 Imagen Awards nominated web-series, “Let’s Talk” Episodes for Latin Heat. Episodes can be seen on www.letstalkshow.tv. He is currently developing an independent web series entitled, “Encounters”, scheduled to launch in the Fall 2010 on the web. He currently wrapped Producing Behind the Scenes of the film, “Pizza Man”, starring Frankie Muniz, Shelly Long, Michael Gross and Dallas Page. He produced music videos for up and coming artist, Andres Mendoza and Daniel Muñoz’s “El Ausente.

His Pilot Show Producer Credits include “Xtreme College Baseball”, “El Millonario del Pueblo”, and “A Second Chance”, and webpisodes for “Latin Heat Entertainment” and “Golf con Danny Garcia.”  His PSA Credits includes Producing, “You are Not Alone”, tri-lingual (English, Spanish & Chinese) versions for Familia Unida, Living with Multiple Sclerosis.

His ability to multi-task on various projects have given him the ability to produce some of today’s most moving gala vignettes for such clients as World Gym International “Hall of Fame”, The California Latino Caucus Institute, MALDEF, TELACU, the Roosevelt High School Alumni Foundation “Hall of Fame”, White Memorial Medical Center, The Tomás Rivera Policy Institute, The Journey House and The California Wellness Foundation; just to name a few.

His overall Producer’s credits include producing Television Pilots, Public Service Announcements, Music Videos, Gala Vignettes, Documentaries, B-Roll Coverage, & Internet ready video footage as well as knowledge of Final Cut Pro editing system.

His volunteer work includes participation at the “5th Annual Wheel Chair Wash” for Familia Unida, The Roosevelt High School Alumni Foundation “Hall of Fame” events; plus Chairing the 2006 - 2008 Hall of Fame event, Proyecto Pastoral’s “Night of Poetry” Event, and facilitating the Local Media for the annual high school football game between Garfield and Roosevelt High School’s, known as “The East Los Angeles Classic.”
