Lorena Alvarado

Lorena Alvarado graduated from California State University, Los Angeles with a B.A. in Radio, Television, Film, and Media Studies.  She began her career working for Anheuser-Busch, Inc.  She was eventually recruited by Arenas Entertainment to be a part of their theatrical promotions department.  Lorena also made her way to LATV Networks where she produced on-air/off-air promotions.

In 2007, Lorena was one of sixteen selected to participate in the Producer Guild of America: Diversity Workshop Program.  She went on to develop a handful of comedic shorts, a comedy talk show, a comedy series, and a film show.

In 2009, Lorena co-produced two plays with Josefina Lopez at CASA 0101; The Cleaning Lady and Ride to the Eastside (where she wrote The Little "P" in Me).

Lorena currently works at Jamestown Productions in Marina Del Rey, a creative post-production house.  She is also a Producer for Lets Talk! (a talk show produced by Latin Heat Entertainment).  For the past 7 years has been part of a team that puts Reel Rasquache Art & Film Festival together in Los Angeles.  And, along with friends have developed 2012: The Lore Art Show, which debuted in December 2008.
